Chiang Mai Culture in Art

These photograph are some of my favorites of Chiang Mai culture. Seven hundred years of history have produced a rich legacy in fine arts centered especially in the more than three hundred temples that are each the center of a community. Religious images dominate but history and legend are also taught using the finest artistic expressions. They are just a little of what you can expect when you visit and get to know the Lanna Kingdom.

Please check back from time to time for additions to the gallery, everything from street scenes and festivals to ancient temples, from hill tribe villages and natural scenery to the luxury of exclusive spas and resorts
